Job summary

Moneta Group Investment Advisors LLC seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounting Department with AP/AR duties, monthly partner reporting, and expense reporting. You will manage full-cycle AP, process advisory fees, and assist with month-end close tasks.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of related experience, solid accounting knowledge, and proficient MS Office skills. Comprehensive benefits are provided. This role is based in Clayton, Missouri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, some college preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Basic accounting principles knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounts payable with timely approvals and payments via check or ACH.
• Back-up for advisory fees processing, fee billing system updates, reconciliations, and monthly distributions to Partners.
• Process monthly management compensation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reimbursements with proper documentation.
• Support month-end close by preparing and entering journal entries.
• Maintain accurate records by scanning and filing per retention policies.
• Ensure all processing and reporting tasks are completed accurately by deadlines.
• Other miscellaneous duties as required.

Job description

The Accounts Payable Specialist provides overall support to the Accounting Department including accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, monthly reporting for Partners, and expense reporting for the firm.

• Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring timely approval, accurate entry into the accounting system, and weekly distribution of payments via check or ACH.
• Serve as back-up for processing incoming advisory fees, including updating the fee billing system, reconciling payments, and coordinating monthly distributions to Partners.
• Process monthly management compensation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in alignment with internal schedules.
• Administer corporate credit card transactions and employee expense reimbursements, verifying documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Support the month-end close process by preparing and entering journal entries as assigned.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records by scanning and filing documents in accordance with retention policies.
• Ensure all financial processing and reporting tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Other miscellaneous duties, as required.
