Job summary

ARCO in Atlanta is seeking an accounting professional to join a dynamic, collaborative team in our office. The role focuses on processing overhead invoices, reconciling AP with the general ledger, and supporting project managers.

You will handle expense reports, resolve billing discrepancies, and assist with compliance. The position offers a strong benefits package and opportunities to grow within a family of construction companies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 0-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, verifying, and processing overhead invoices from vendors and suppliers throughout the month.
  • Reconciling accounts payable records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Work with vendors and industry partners to resolve billing discrepancies, assist with compliance, and provide payment status inquiries.
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports, ensuring they comply with company policies and are properly documented.
  • Work on a variety of miscellaneous issues delegated by Accounting team.
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with the Accounting team and Project Managers.
  • Processing weekly payment runs.

A Day in the Life:

  • Receiving, verifying, and processing overhead invoices from vendors and suppliers throughout the month
  • Reconciling accounts payable records with the general ledger to ensure accuracy while identifying and resolving any discrepancies
  • Work with vendors and industry partners to resolve billing discrepancies, assist with compliance, and provide payment status inquiries
