Job summary

Crane is hiring for an on-site accounting clerk in Houston. The role focuses on billing, AR/AP, payment allocations, and reporting to meet deadlines. You will reconcile accounts, monitor client/vendor details, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications include 1–3 years in A/R and A/P with general accounting exposure, plus strong attention to detail and proficient computer skills. A collaborative environment and growing benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years accounts receivable/payable and general accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date billing system and follow up, collection and allocation of payments.
• Responsible for timely and accurate processing of accounts payable duties.
• Daily opening of mail and date stamping.
• Filing of processed invoices and PO’s.
• Carries out billing, collection and reporting activities according to deadlines.
• Provides reconciliation of accounts and maintains AR/AP client files.
• Monitors client/vendor account details for non-payments, delays, irregularities.
• Follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash, adjustments and bank deposits.
• Investigates and resolves client/vendor queries.
• Performs additional research as needed.
• Organizes a recovery system and initiates collection efforts.
• Communicates with clients/vendors via phone, email, mail or personally.
• Other duties as assigned
