Job summary

Gooch & Housego PLC in Georgia is seeking a Group Accounting Clerk to support the U.S. Finance Shared Services team with core transactional accounting activities. You will help ensure timely, accurate processing of financial transactions and maintain accounting records supporting daily operations and month-end reporting.

The role requires being highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and accuracy across locations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions.
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting system preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices by validating documentation and matching POs, receipts, and invoices.
• Process weekly accounts payable payment runs and maintain vendor master data.
• Process customer cash receipts, apply payments, and maintain credit records.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and month-end accounting activities.
• Validate general ledger coding on requisitions and invoices.
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and site teams to resolve transactional exceptions.
