Gooch & Housego in the United States seeks a Group Accounting Clerk to join our U.S. Finance Shared Services team. You will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and timely financial processing with opportunities to improve processes and ensure efficient month-end close. Strong Excel skills and ERP experience are preferred.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable or general accounting
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused approach with relationship-building across the business
• High integrity and confidentiality

Responsabilidades

• Process supplier invoices by validating documentation and matching POs, receipts, and invoices
• Process weekly accounts payable payment runs
• Maintain vendor master data and support W-9 and 1099 processing
• Process customer cash receipts and apply payments to accounts
• Process customer credit card transactions and maintain records
• Prepare customer credit and debit adjustments as required
• Assist with intercompany accounting and month-end activities
• Validate GL coding on requisitions and invoices
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and site teams to resolve transactional exceptions
