Job summary

TankWorx + Construction Services, LLC seeks an Accounting & Project Controls Clerk to support Finance and Project Controls. You will handle accounts payable, project cost data entry, coding, and documentation while acting as the first point of contact for visitors.

The role requires strong organization, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Office duties and cross-department collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or office administration; construction/industrial industry a plus.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and project cost tracking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Enter, maintain, and update project cost information in accounting/project management systems.
• Assist with project cost tracking, cost code setup, and maintaining accurate project records.
• Assist with change order logs, budget updates, commitments, and expenditures.
• Review timesheets, purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation for proper coding.
• Assist with tracking commitments, costs, and other project financial information.
• Prepare and maintain basic cost, budget, and tracking reports.
• Support Project Managers and Project Controls with administrative/data-entry needs.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical project documentation.
