Job summary

Exponent is seeking an Accounting Associate to join the Finance/Accounting team in our Phoenix, AZ office. You’ll process accounts payable, review vendor payments, and prepare data templates for imports. You’ll collaborate with multiple departments to resolve inquiries and support audits and financial projects.

We value analytical thinkers with strong Excel skills and a solid accounting foundation, comfortable with a hybrid work schedule and an emphasis on accuracy and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or progress toward degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and cost allocations.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions and ensure accurate coding.
• Review vendor accounts and payments for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare data templates for imports and assist audits.
• Support procure-to-pay activities and month-end close.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment inquiries.
