Job summary

Beitzel Corporation seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to oversee AP processes, vendor invoices, and reconciliations. You will manage cash disbursements, 1099 reporting, and coordinate month-end/year-end closing from our Grantsville, MD corporate office.

You will supervise staff, ensure internal controls, support cross-department collaboration, and drive accuracy and timely payments in a dynamic industrial construction environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience assigning workload, coaching staff, and ensuring deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of accounts payable and bookkeeping principles.
• Ability to review and approve reconciliations and resolve vendor issues.
• Working knowledge of Form W-9 and 1099-NEC / 1099-MISC reporting.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts payable processes and process vendor invoices.
• Oversee cash disbursements and reconcile vendor statements.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end processing.
• Administer company credit cards and ensure internal controls.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and 1099 reporting.
• Lead and coach a staff team to meet deadlines and accuracy.
