Jobot is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager in New York, NY, to lead a busy AP department and ensure accurate, timely payments. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years in AP (2+ in management), and strong Excel/accounting software skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, as well as general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in payment processing, invoice processing, and vendor management.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and legal laws related to finance and accounting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage vendor relationships and communicate effectively with senior management.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department including month-end processes, year-end close process, and auditing tasks.
• Handle all aspects of payment processing, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, implementing changes as necessary to maintain compliance.
• Oversee the invoice processing system, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
• Stay up-to-date with legal laws related to finance and accounting, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
