Job summary

NASCAR is seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable to lead the AP function, enforce strong controls, and drive continuous improvement across processes. Based in Daytona Beach, FL, you’ll collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and Tax to optimize workflows and ensure compliant, timely vendor payments.

You will champion automation initiatives, develop policy and procedure updates, and mentor a team to achieve operational excellence while upholding our commitment to integrity and financial governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years in accounts payable or related financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory tax reporting.
• Experience with 1099 and 1042-S reporting, sales/use tax, vendor disbursements, and GL reconciliations.
• Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience implementing automation and process improvements.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounts payable operations with focus on compliance and controls.
• Oversee vendor payments, tax reporting, and documentation.
• Perform AP-to-GL reconciliations and support month-end close.
• Monitor travel and expense and procurement card transactions for policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and business units to improve processes.
• Develop and enhance policies and internal controls; identify automation opportunities.
• Provide leadership across the AP function.
