Job summary

Fisher Industries, a vertically integrated family of businesses delivering heavy civil construction and aggregate products across the United States, seeks an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a multi-location AP team and modernize invoice-to-payment processes.

You will oversee vendor payments, internal controls, and month-end close, driving automation and efficiency while ensuring compliance and timely reporting. This role requires strong leadership and ERP/Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in Accounts Payable or accounting.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Tax and month-end knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team of 15 or more in multiple Locations.
• Oversee invoice processing, vendor maintenance, and payment activities.
• Manage check, ACH, wire, and credit card payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, approval workflows, and internal controls.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and audit requests.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Serve as the primary contact for AP-related vendor and internal inquiries.
