Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team of AP professionals and ensure accurate, timely processing for our subsidiaries. You will implement internal controls, manage reconciliations, and drive process improvements across the procure-to-pay cycle.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in AP, supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of US GAAP. JD Edwards experience and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in AP, ideally in manufacturing.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Experience managing high-volume AP operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP is required.
• Experience with JD Edwards is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of three-way matching, invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and AP controls.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AP team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Oversee end-to-end AP, accrual, and T&E functions; ensure timely processing.
• Maintain internal controls over procure-to-pay; address gaps and improvements.
• Oversee AP reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries; ensure accuracy.
• Monitor AP policies and compliance activities, including 1099 reporting.
• Manage vendor and internal relationships; report to management and auditors.
• Drive process improvements and system implementations in AP.
• Review and approve purchases and capex within delegated authority.
• Establish AP KPIs and identify trends to improve performance.
• Perform other finance duties to support procure-to-pay and Shared Services.
