Job summary

BYD America Corporation seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our corporate AP function, balancing hands-on operations with strategic leadership. You will ensure smooth daily P2P operations, accurate month-end closings, and mentor the AP team.

You will drive cost-efficiency through analytics, implement foolproof controls, and optimize DPO while maintaining SoD and strong vendor relationships, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• 5-8 years corporate accounting experience; 3+ years in a supervisory role in US-affiliated or multinational company.
• Strong logical reasoning; ability to translate ledgers into executive-ready reviews and diagnose anomalies.
• Experience implementing automated, systemic controls to eliminate manual inefficiencies and safeguard accuracy.
• Excellent coaching, communication, and SOP authoring; deep understanding of US GAAP, SOX/SoD; proficiency in ERP/ AP tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily AP operations and P2P processing of vendor invoices, expenses, and disbursements.
• Enforce 3-way match across entities; identify and track variances.
• Manage treasury payments and bank disbursements; optimize Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
• Lead AP month-end and year-end close; manage accruals and intercompany reconciliations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop AP team with KPIs and SOP training.
• Develop AP analytics and monthly/quarterly reports for leadership; monitor costs and cycle times.
