Job summary

E2 Optics, a Woman-Owned technology integrator, seeks an Accounts Payable Lead in Colorado. You will manage AP processing, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with internal controls while collaborating with the AP Manager on department goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Prior accounts payable experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of project-based accounting and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Support daily flow of invoices and requests through the accounts payable system to ensure timely processing.
• Monitor ticket queues, identify bottlenecks, and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert for accounts payable processes, systems, and policies.
• Coach and train accounts payable staff on workflows and tools.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new accounts payable staff.
• Perform hands-on accounts payable processing including invoice review, coding, matching, and payment support.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ticketing workflows and system utilization.
• Act as escalation point for complex AP issues and assist with vendor inquiries.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable Manager to support department objectives.
• Travel as required by E2 (generally not required).
