Job description

PAY: $17-$20/hour (based on education and experience).

REPORTS TO: Accounts Payable Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: No

LOCATION: Bismarck, ND (On-site position; must reside locally and be authorized to work in the U.S.)

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Intern will support the AP team with day-to-day activities while gaining hands-on accounting experience. This role will assist with invoice processing, expense tracking, vendor records, and other AP tasks while building practical skills and learning how the accounts payable process works from start to finish.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Assist with entering and processing invoices in the accounting software system, with guidance from the AP team


• Support process improvement projects by helping document current AP workflows. Assist with vendor communications under supervision, such as following up on missing documentation. Help ensure invoices are processed on schedule by supporting the team with data entry and filing.


• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.


• Process and record accounts payable transactions in an accurate and timely manner.


• Interact with vendors in a helpful, courteous, and professional manner.


• Create a positive and productive work atmosphere by communicating and behaving in a professional and team-like manner with all other employees.


• Other duties as assigned.
