Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, general ledger coding, and payment processing.
• General accounting experience, including journal entries and bank reconciliations, preferred for full-time candidates.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience with Financial Edge or similar accounting software is a plus.
• No degree required; relevant hands-on accounting experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review and code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Allocate expenses across multiple programs or departments, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and issue weekly check payments, including payments covering multiple invoices.
• Download and organize financial data in Excel to support reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Support general accounting functions, including journal entries and bank reconciliations, depending on experience.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
• Assist with additional accounting projects and departmental needs as assigned.
