Job summary

Maxxima is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist with a strong Accounts Payable focus to join our accounting team in Hauppauge, NY. Reporting to the Controller, you will manage day-to-day AP activities and support AR, GL, reconciliations, and month-end close.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, AP expertise, and ERP proficiency (Sage). On-site schedule is Mon–Fri, 9:30–5:30, with collaborative cross-department work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with hands-on AP.
• Experience with AP, AR, GL, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• ERP experience (Sage) and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and timely.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving docs.
• Prepare month-end close reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist with AR transactions and general ledger activity.
• Support external audits with schedules and records.
