Arevon, a U.S. energy leader based in Scottsdale, is seeking an Accounts Payable Director to lead a high-volume, multi-entity AP function across corporate entities and project companies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounts payable or related accounting roles.
• Experience leading AP in a complex, multi-entity environment; renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, or project finance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, procure-to-pay, vendor master administration, payment controls, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proven ability to design and maintain internal controls, approval workflows, policies, procedures, service levels, and performance metrics.
• Experience leading system implementations, automation initiatives, or process transformation efforts; NetSuite or a similar ERP system preferred.
• Strong people leadership and change management skills, with a track record of coaching teams and driving accountability.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end AP function across Arevon’s entities.
• Oversee invoice intake, coding, approval, matching, exception resolution, payment processing, and vendor maintenance.
• Establish and monitor AP policies, service levels, KPIs, and internal controls.
• Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing AP team with coaching and succession planning.
• Oversee weekly payment runs and coordinate funding with Treasury; manage ACH, wire, checks, etc.
• Partner with Procurement to strengthen PO compliance and resolve exceptions.
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve escalated inquiries and aging items.
• Support month-, quarter-, and year-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Coordinate AP support for audits, lenders, and tax equity requirements.
• Lead system optimization, automation, and data analytics for AP.
• Identify and mitigate risks while scaling processes with growth.
