Accounts Payable Coordinator & Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator & Team Lead to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will oversee all Accounts Payable functions, work closely with our AP Manager, and be responsible for vendor engagement, managing the AP inbox and vendor communication, preparing payables runs, tracking surplus payment requests, reviewing employee credit card expense reports, and maintaining annual 1099 tracking and reporting. This role requires strong leadership skills, team training capabilities, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize effectively. There are opportunities for growth within the AP team and the broader finance & accounting department.

More about You:

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing all Accounts Payable functions in collaboration with the AP Manager
• Leading and developing a team of AP Clerks
• Reviewing AP transactions and implementing related controls
• Preparing regular payables runs
• Managing employee expense reports
• Maintaining professionalism when handling escalated communications with vendors
• Facilitating communication between vendors and internal purchasing teams
• Suggesting, implementing, and maintaining AP-related internal controls

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in AP coordination
• At least 3 years of experience leading teams
• Training in fraud prevention and internal controls
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with accounting software and Google Suite

Compensation: Starting range $60,000-$75,000 plus bonus. Benefits include up to $1,000/month wellness stipend and other perks.
