You will match invoices to POs, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts, ensuring timely and accurate entry in company systems. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with coursework in accounting.
• Associates Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of accounts payable or related experience.
• Proficient in Word and Excel with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Prepare and process accounts payable checks, electronic transfers and ACH payments
• Reconciles financial data for accurate balances and compliance
• Prepare batches of invoices and ensure accurate coding to vendors
• Process check requests
• Ensure invoices are accurately entered into company software
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Investigate and reconcile accounts
• Maintain files and documentation according to policy
• Assist the finance team in monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Assist auditors with supporting documentation
• Sort and distribute incoming mail
