Job summary

Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to manage a full cycle of payables, verify and code invoices, post journal entries, and prepare accruals for monthly close.

The role reports to the Controller in the Finance department. A bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and at least two years' experience in accounts payable are required; proficiency in Excel and MS Office is essential; ability to pass ATL badge background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related Business field.
• 2+ years' experience in an accounting position specializing in accounts payable.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• MS Office proficiency, with strong Excel skills.
• Must pass ATL badge background check (10-year fingerprint search).

Responsibilities

Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst - Accounts Payable Coordinator

Pay Grade: Grade 6

Salary: Entry Salary $60,588

Department: Finance

Reports to: Controller

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst - Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for a full cycle of payables. Key responsibilities include verifying, auditing, processing and allocating invoices and expense reports, in addition to researching and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices and check requests.
• Code and match invoices.
• Prepare accruals for monthly close.
• Post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Assist in the monthly invoicing to the Airlines, Concessionaires and Department of Aviation.
• Act as the concession coordinator which includes the responsibility to invoice monthly with associated details.
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
• Maintain AP files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, Accounting, Finance or related Business field.
• 2+ years' experience in an accounting position specializing in accounts payable required.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Core computer and applications competency relevant to the role to include MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.
