Job summary

ASRC Industrial Services (AIS) seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to support our operating companies from Tempe, AZ. You will help process accounts payable transactions, review invoices, and maintain vendor files, contributing to accurate financial records.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle a high volume of invoices, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems. Strong organizational skills and deadlines-driven work are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Accounts payable experience in a job cost environment or construction company preferred.
• Microsoft Excel and general computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
• General Ledger account classification (coding) Accounts Payable invoices
• Scan and route invoices electronically
• Enter and upload invoices into system
• Review statements
• Entering and processing employee reimbursement checks
• Match checks copies with invoices.
• Track expenses and process expense reports
• Prepare and perform check runs
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Maintain vendor files
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• Produce monthly reports
• Assist with month end closing
• Provide supporting documentation for audits
• Maintain accurate historical records
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
• Filing
• Other office duties as needed

Job Description:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk with AIS, you will support our operating companies. In your role you'll focus on our GCI team, multi-craft services throughout the Southeast and Gulf Coast, with a focus on industrial coating, insulation, scaffolding, and fireproofing services.

You’ll perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. You’ll be successful using these skills:
