Job summary

Long Prairie Packing Company, LLC in Long Prairie, Minnesota, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the purchasing team by matching POs to receiving and invoicing, and reconciling differences. You will code GL accounts, enter invoices, and process payments including checks and wires.

The role requires 2 years of AP experience, basic PC skills, and a detail-oriented mindset. The position is full-time, on-site with a starting wage of $20.70 per hour plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Prior accounts payable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist purchasing department with matching purchase orders to receiving and invoicing and reconciling any differences.
• Code corrects general ledger account numbers on each invoice along with due dates.
• Enter invoices into A/P system and generate payments of checks, wires, and intercompany payments.
• Process raw material purchases and payments.
• Work with corporate office to set up new vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Assist with month end closing.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

As An Accounts Payable Clerk, You Will
