Requirements include 1 year of accounts payable experience, proficiency with 10-key data entry, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with accounting software. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, on-site employment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Code supplier invoices and supporting documentation in the accounting system.
• Schedule checks, ACH payments, or wire transfers and monitor discount terms.
• Reconcile entries and verify vendor accounts against monthly statements.
• Coordinate with buyers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Process employee expense reports and advances.
• Charge expenses to correct accounts and cost centers.
• Maintain historical records and convert documents to electronic format.
• Assist with audits by gathering information and research.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes.

• Obtain, examine, and appropriately code supplier invoices and supporting documentation, then post them to the accounting system.
• Schedule and prepare checks, ACH payments, or wire transfers, monitoring for discount opportunities, and ensuring compliance with payment terms.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries, comparing system reports to balances, and verifying vendor accounts against monthly statements.
• Coordinate with buyers and other internal departments to resolve purchase order, contract, or invoice discrepancies and track them using a log.
• Process employee expense reports and requests for advances.
• Charge expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports.
• Maintain historical records of all invoices, reports, and receipts, often converting paper documentation to an electronic format.
• Assist with internal and external audits by gathering requested information and providing research.
• Identify and help implement opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency.
