Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our corporate finance team at the New Boston, MI location. In this role, you will manage high-volume AP processes, ensure accuracy, and support month-end close with rigorous financial reporting.

You'll collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and intercompany partners to resolve discrepancies, maintain ledgers, and drive process improvements across ERP systems. A two-year degree and 1–3 years of AP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounts payable or similar experience.
• Understanding of financial systems and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with audit procedures and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts payable ledgers, aging, and related financial systems.
• Post, reconcile, and file vendor invoices at high volume.
• Investigate exceptions and resolve past-due accounts.
• Liaise with customer/vendors and intercompany partners to ensure transactions are supported.
• Create and apply customer/vendor and intercompany retros as needed.
• Interface with Sales and Purchasing to resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Perform month-end closing procedures and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and internal controls.
• Drive ERP improvements and process changes.
• Lead projects for general accounting and financial analysis.
• Assist Treasury/Finance with budgets and forecasts.
