Our client, a fast-growing travel startup, is hiring an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team. This candidate would be joining a small accounting team, where there is room to take on additional responsibility as the role and company grow. This is a full-time, remote position, working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
We connect people with the best tours and activities around the world, and this role will support our efforts to ensure that our industry partners are paid accurately and in a timely fashion.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, reconcile, and process all invoices
- Process commission payments for affiliate partner
- Work with vendors to resolve pricing and invoice discrepancies
- Track and manage foreign exchange risks
- Assist the Accounting Team with chargebacks and payment disputes
- Develop, implement, and optimize accounts payable processes
- Assist with bookkeeper inquiries and periodic audits
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Minimum of 1 year of direct or similar accounts payable experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multitask and handle a large volume of invoices
- Extremely strong attention to detail
- An ability to work well independently and be a self-starter
- Familiarity with foreign currencies and international payments
- A passion for problem solving and producing high quality work
- Proven time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in arithmetic and fundamental accounting operations
