Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist
Location: Highland Park, IL (onsite)
Pay Range: $25-$27/hr
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k)

Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist for our client located in Elk Grove Village. The client, a Chicago-based private investment firm, is looking for an AP/AR Specialist to join them for a temporary period of 2-3 months while they create their shared services team. This role is fully in office and reports to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices daily in a 2-way match environment
• Process AP accruals and compile reports for management
• Responsible for weekly payment runs
• Handle and post cash receipts daily, mainly via ACH and Credit Card
• Handle misapplied & unapplied payments as well as short & over payments
• Reconcile company credit card transactions
• Handle collection activity, primarily via email

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of both AP and AR experience
• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft suite of products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Some collections experience preferred
