Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) in the Quantico area is seeking a financial accountant with solid knowledge of GAAP and experience managing routine accounting processes.
The role focuses on applying accounting principles to accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities within automated financial systems to support functions for Marines and their families.

Three (3) years¿ experience in financial accounting that demonstrates possession of generally accepted accounting principles to include a thorough knowledge in fiscal matters, accounting principles, practices and procedures, regulations, and policies. Relevant education may be used as a substitute for experience. Must have a high degree of proven initiative and originality in application and employment of accounting systems and directives applicable to NAF financial accounting. Knowledge of general accounting principles applicable to retail and cost environments. Ability to apply a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures in performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger functions within the framework of an automated financial system. Ability to maintain a working knowledge of automated financial systems including software applications and integrated subsystems.
