Qualifications

• One year experience in accounting or bookkeeping work.
• Associate's Degree in a related field or 60 hours of College Credit including 12 hours of accounting related class work and no experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from a Business/Vocational school with emphasis in accounting, or college coursework in accounting or business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process payment vouchers, journal vouchers, cash receipts vouchers, and other documents affecting transfer or payment of funds.
• Maintain and reconcile ledgers and deposits; verify deposits for ledger accounts.
• Prepare original accounting entries for journals and monthly reconciliations.
• Post data to ledgers and reports; process budget transactions and related documentation.
• Prepare invoices for billings and maintain inventory for equipment and assets.
• Respond to inquiries from students, faculty and staff; assist in preparing financial reports.
