Larimer County Department of Human Services is seeking an Accounting Technician to join the Accounting Team. This 100% in-office role supports accounts payable, payroll, reimbursements, and related financial operations across multiple locations in Fort Collins and Loveland.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Applicants must have at least one year of related experience and be prepared to submit three professional references.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic staff member to join our Operations and Organizational Development Division as an Accounting Technician. An Accounting Technician is part of the Accounting team for the Department of Human Services for Larimer County. The Accounting Team supports Human Services in the following areas: Accounts Payable, Mileage Reimbursements, Travel Reimbursements, Commercial Cards, CSBG/LCF Grants, Payroll, Trusts, EBT Client Cards, CCAP, and CORE. This position is 100% in-office Monday-Friday 8-5pm. Three professional references with valid contact information are required to be submitted as part of this application. Responsibilities

• Receives immediate supervision from higher-level supervisory or management personnel.
• Enters accounting data on computers, ledgers, and other accounting records according to established methods and procedures.
• Checks computer reports for accuracy and completeness, and makes routine adjustments as necessary.
• Processes and prepares vouchers for payment.
• Files receipts, vouchers, billings, and other materials according to established methods and procedures.
• Maintains payroll records and time sheets, computes necessary payroll calculations, and may prepare payroll summaries.
