Job summary

The State of Mississippi's Health Department is seeking a finance leader to prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and projections to inform decision-making and safeguard the agency's financial health.

You will oversee grant accounting activities, including budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements, while developing policies and internal controls. You will provide leadership to the Finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

About the Position: This is a time limited position. Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and projections to inform decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organization. Oversee grant accounting activities, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with grant requirements. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Provide leadership and direction to the Finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
