Joseph Michaels International is seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and collaborate with our client's Controller. You will lead the accounting staff, manage the month-end close, oversee inventory reconciliations, and support payroll, audits, and tax reporting.

You will supervise a team, handle journal entries, inventory checks, and prepare month-end reports while ensuring internal controls and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with direct reports.
• Proven financial reporting skills, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Team Leadership: Supervise staff, answer technical questions, and guide daily workflow.
• Financial Close: Prepare and review journal entries, conduct inventory counts/reconciliations, and generate month-end reports.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare sales & use tax returns, enforce internal controls, and maintain data confidentiality.
• Process Improvement: Analyze financial options, assist with corporate accounting initiatives, and lead special projects.
