FJ & Associates in Kaysville, UT is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead a team of bookkeepers and stay engaged in client work. This hands-on role combines people leadership with production accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial statements.

You will mentor staff, review client work, and coordinate with tax and audit teams while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering timely, compliant financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience supervising or mentoring accounting/bookkeeping staff.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, payroll, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and managing relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Review accounting work prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness
• Serve as a client-facing point of contact, building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Coordinate and communicate with internal tax and audit teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent client service
• Perform hands-on accounting production work as needed, including: Maintaining and reviewing general ledgers; Preparing balance sheets and financial statements; Processing and reviewing payroll; Performing account reconciliations; Other core bookkeeping and accounting tasks
