Job summary

Ledgent in the Raleigh area is seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, manage staff, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and Customer Service, support month-end close, maintain internal controls, and drive system optimization with ERP/accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with at least five years managing or supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Manage accounting staff; provide leadership and develop team.

A growing distribution company in the Raleigh area is seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The role includes managing accounting staff, supporting month-end close processes, maintaining internal controls, and partnering with departments such as Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Inventory, and Customer Service. Candidates should have at least five years of progressive accounting experience, prior leadership or supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems are required, with familiarity in integrated business systems and system optimization considered a strong advantage.
