Job summary

Management & Training Corporation in Edison, NJ seeks an accounting/finance supervisor to oversee all departmental activities, budgets, and reporting. The role emphasizes compliance with government directives and effective financial management to support student services.

Responsibilities include staff development, audits, and managing contract fund allocations. A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years’ related experience and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Two years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and financial activities of the department.
• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, implement departmental and personnel changes as approved by the center director and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
• Assist in developing the departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
• Supervise student pay and perform periodic student benefit fund audits.
• Supervise financial accounting systems and allocation of expenditure of contract funds; monitor center performance through interpretation of accounting data and development of management information reports.

What you will be doing
