Job summary

A financial services firm based in Columbus, Ohio is looking for a Mid-Senior Level Accounting professional to lead corporate accounts payable processes and ensure timely vendor payments. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and have over 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Responsibilities include managing the month-end close, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with senior leadership. Qualifications

Base Pay Range

$85,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s corporate accounts payable process, ensuring timely vendor payments, proper coding, and strong internal controls.
• Own key components of the month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly corporate financial statements and assist with consolidated reporting.
• Maintain corporate balance sheet schedules, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.
• Monitor cash activity, support short‑term cash forecasting, and help manage banking relationships.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for corporate departments.
• Recommend process improvements to streamline AP, close, and reporting workflows as the company grows.
• Collaborate with property‑level accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow and alignment of accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including both transactional accounting and financial reporting.
• Prior experience at a real estate or property management organization strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and month‑end close processes.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP or cloud‑based accounting systems a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with comfort working directly with senior leadership.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
