Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student at Cal Poly with a minimum of 6 units.
• Introductory accounting coursework or relevant accounting work experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational, planning, time management and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication for reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint).
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
• Foster communication and teamwork in a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable shared email and communicate with suppliers.
• Review and process accounts payable invoices and reimbursements.
• Verify accuracy of accounts payable checks and processing.
• Assist with outreach for unclaimed property and check reissue.
• Collect deposits and prepare weekly deposits for AR.
• Assist AR invoicing and related processes and documentation.
• Support fixed asset management, tagging and inventories.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Assist audits and maintain organized electronic records.
