Job summary

Sukup Manufacturing Co. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage a broad range of accounting functions, including general ledger and month-end close, reconciliations, inventory, COGS, tax filings, and ERP-related activities in a fast-paced environment.

You will support internal controls and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires 2–4 years of accounting experience, an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), and proficiency with Excel and Prophet 21 or similar ERP

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, or equivalent accounting experience.
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Experience performing month-end close activities independently.
• Experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, inventory accounting, COGS, intercompany transactions, rebates, and related activities preferred.
• Experience with an ERP/accounting system preferred; Prophet 21 experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and month-end close activities, including balance-sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Perform inventory-related accounting and reconciliations, including COGS and rebates.
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts.
• Coordinate sales and use tax filings and maintain exemption documentation.
• Process supplier payments and reconcile payment activity.
