One80 Intermediaries is seeking an Accounting Specialist – AVMA to join our growing team. The role owns daily agency billing for the AVMA Professional Liability program and P&C book, focusing on resolving installment discrepancies from a recent system transition and establishing durable, well-documented billing processes.

You will process daily invoice imports, cash receipts, and check deposits, and coordinate with policy admin systems.

Competenze

• Hands-on experience with agency-billed insurance, including installment billing.
• Working knowledge of the EPIC Agency Management System.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (recording, reviewing, analyzing financial transactions).
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

One80 Intermediaries is seeking an Accounting Specialist – AVMA to join our growing team! The Pearl Insurance Accounting Specialist in this role owns daily accounting and agency billing for the AVMA Professional Liability program and P&C book, made up of middle market veterinary business.

This role is the team's agency billing expert, comfortable stepping into billing complexity — including reconciling legacy installment discrepancies carried over from a prior system/process — and establishing clean, repeatable agency billing procedures on our current platform going forward. It works closely with Account Management and Operations on billing accuracy, premium collections, reconciliations and recordkeeping, as well as answers questions from clients on billing issues when needed.

How You Will Contribute:

• Own agency billing for assigned accounts, including large/complex veterinary clients under the National Practice team — with particular focus on resolving outstanding installment discrepancies from a recent billing system transition and establishing durable, well-documented billing processes for ongoing use.
• Process daily invoice imports and cash receipts: review for accuracy, reconcile to source documents/bank activity, and post to the accounting system and general ledger.
• Process physical check deposits (remote scanner), with full tracking and reconciliation to bank and GL.
• Coordinate carrier, customer, and broker check requests from policy admin systems.
• Reconcile Direct Bill commission payments against carrier remittances; investigate and follow up on discrepancies.
• Review Accounts Receivable reports for unusual or missing transactions, partnering with the Accounting Supervisor, PL to resolve.
• Support month-end close: record journal entries, reconcile GL accounts, investigate variances, and prepare timely balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• Required: hands‑on experience with agency‑billed insurance business, including installment billing.
• Required: working knowledge of the EPIC Agency Management System.
• 5+ years of accounting experience (recording, reviewing, analyzing financial transactions), or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Comfortable working through billing system transitions, conversions, or carrier/broker changes, and building process where documentation is thin
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize against shifting business needs.

Pay Range $21.35 - $26.44 Hourly The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
