Sunbeam Foods, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to manage daily accounting operations, financial reporting, AR/AP, and month-end closing. This role requires accuracy and accountability while supporting leadership with financial analysis.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Sage 100 ERP and Advanced Excel. This is a hands-on, small/medium company environment offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, business or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with AR, AP, and general ledger activities.
• Proficiency with Sage 100 ERP systems preferred.
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and time management in a small/medium company.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including AR, AP, and General Ledger activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Enter and process invoices, payments, deposits, and customer activity.
• Monitor and collect past due accounts; maintain AR aging reports.
• Review daily sales and profitability reports to investigate variances.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing in Sage.
• Prepare reports for CPA review and tax reporting.
• Maintain customer account setup and data accuracy.
• Ensure timely processing of recurring invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Support inventory, fuel surcharge, and operational reporting processes.
• Assist with compliance reporting including 1099s and sales tax.
