Job summary

Job Summary (List Format):

• Assist in the collection of receivables, including returned payments, fuel tax and audit assessments, civil penalties, and miscellaneous receivables.
• Utilize skip tracing and other investigative methods to locate delinquent customers.
• Apply State statutes, rules, and ADOT policies in collection activities.
• Communicate with internal and external customers via phone, email, and letter.
• Process credit card and check transactions, daily internal deposits, bank levies, bond claims, and agency companion transfers.
• Refer debt cases to the Arizona Attorney General's Office as necessary.
• Remove uncollected debt from records and participate in internal system enhancement testing.
• Validate, record, and report all revenue; perform banking and general ledger accounting functions, including account analysis and reconciliations.
• Write and maintain desk procedures and complete other assigned duties.
• Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and provide back-up support across department functions as needed.
• Cross-train on all department duties.
• Must have collections experience; accounting experience and high school diploma preferred.
• Position is 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ and requires local candidates only.
• Candidates must successfully complete background and drug screening (HireRight).
