About the Role:

Orthopedic Center of Illinois is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team!

The Accounting Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. The specialist will also oversee wire transfers and check processing, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. By providing detailed account reconciliations and financial reports, the Accounting Specialist will support strategic decision-making within the company. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations, fostering trust and transparency in our financial reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial reporting tools.
  • Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable, receivable, and payroll transactions accurately and promptly.
