We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team. This office-based role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our financial operations and support the overall success of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with routine activities and projects.

General Responsibilities:

1. Prepares & distributes customer invoices.
2. Customer collections and payment status
3. Match vendor invoices, purchase orders and receiving tickets
4. Timely and accurately enter vendor invoices in accounting system
5. Reconcile vendor statements with system balances.
6. Resolve any discrepancies with vendors and customers
7. File vendor and customer invoices
8. Review weight records against templates for pour weight; maintain templates in JobBoss.
9. Input of Melt sheets to database accurately.
10. Input of Saw returns into database accurately.
11. Update JobBoss time variance editing for all employees, analyze variances.
12. Assist with analysis of month-end material inventory.
13. Assist the accounting/finance department with month-end processes
14. Assists with routine accounting activities & projects.
15. Creates and modifies spreadsheets & documentation.
16. Assist with data entry as needed.
17. Generate department requested reports; handles multiple tasks and assignments as outlined.
18. Reports any problems or discrepancies and safety issues to management.

Skills:

2. Basic math skills, computer skills to include Microsoft Office & Excel (major ERP systems a plus)
