EICAP's Fiscal Team is seeking an Accounting Specialist (Grants) to help manage grant funding that supports vital community programs throughout Eastern Idaho. The role covers budgeting, financial reporting, grant reimbursements, and compliance monitoring.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, reliable under pressure, and capable of working with program leadership and fiscal staff. Training is available for strong accounting or finance backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit reimbursement requests and grant billings.
• Monitor program budgets and assist with revisions.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies.
• Track expenditures and ensure grant compliance.
• Maintain grant, contract, and property financial records.
• Review supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Support monitoring, contract compliance, and PO tracking.
• Assist with audits and audit-ready documentation.

Join EICAP's Fiscal Team and help manage grant funding that supports vital community programs throughout Eastern Idaho. We are seeking an accounting professional to assist with budgeting, financial reporting, grant reimbursements, compliance monitoring, and fund accounting. Previous grant accounting experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train candidates with strong accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or finance backgrounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $49,000-$52,000 DOE

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week (enjoy a three-day weekend every week!)

We're seeking an Accounting Specialist (Grants) who is:

• Exceptionally detail-oriented and committed to producing accurate work
• Reliable under pressure, able to meet recurring deadlines and adjust to changing priorities without becoming overwhelmed
• Organized and disciplined, with strong follow-through and time management skills
• Financially savvy, with experience managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and reconciling financial information
• Compliance-minded, maintaining documentation and records that are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
• Analytical and proactive, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues before they become larger problems
• A collaborative professional, capable of working effectively with program leadership and fiscal staff
• Technically proficient, with strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting and financial software
• Adaptable, willing to cross-train and support other fiscal functions as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
• Three years of accounting, grant accounting, nonprofit accounting, or fund accounting experience preferred
• Experience working with multiple funding sources, budgets, and reporting requirements is highly desirable

What You'll Do

• Prepare and submit financial reports to funding agencies

• Maintain accurate grant, contract, and property-related financial records

• Assist with audits and maintain documentation that is consistently audit-ready
