Tyree Oil Eugene is seeking an Accounting Specialist to perform month-end close, bank reconciliations, fixed asset processing, and balance sheet management from our Eugene, Oregon location.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting/finance, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite) and Excel. Strong communication and multi-tasking abilities are essential. This is a full-time, day-shift position with potential overtime during month-end close.

Position Summary

Position Summary: As a Accounting Specialist you will have a range of responsibilities making routine choices within established procedures. This position performs basic troubleshooting to reconcile account balances and inquiry to obtain missing information or verify unusual data including but not limited to: performing month end close, reconciliation of accounts, preparing financial statements and other duties as needed to support the Finance and Accounting Department. This role is within the Finance and Accounting Team in our Corporate Headquarters location in Eugene, Oregon.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete a range of month-end close related responsibilities.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assist with fixed asset processing and reporting.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company procedures.
• Prepare documentation for annual audit performed by external accounting firm.
• Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed.
• Learn to assist with cash flow analysis.
• Learn to prepare general ledger entries with proper records and files.
• Maintain detailed reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

WORK SCHEDULE AND TRAVEL

• Hours Per Week: Regularly scheduled for 40 hours per week,
• Days Per Week: 5 days per week / 8 hours per day,
• Shift: Day shift.
• Overtime: Occasional/Regular overtime may be required, depending on month end close.
• Weekends/Evenings: may be required, depending on month end close.
• May be required to travel to/from Tyree Oil locations; Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Experience: 2+ years previous Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
