Responsibilities

• Prepare and review bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger and loan accounts across multiple entities.
• Review and process AP/AR adjustments, aging reports, and related reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across balance sheet accounts and intercompany activity.
• Support recurring financial and operational reporting, including payroll and inventory schedules.
• Request, track, and maintain Certificates of Insurance and related insurance schedules.
• Monitor and support automobile and workers' compensation claims through resolution.
• Review safety and compliance alerts and help prepare related communications.
• Partner closely with leadership across accounting, insurance, and safety functions.

Accounting Specialist
Edison, NJ | In-Person | $31 - $34 /hr | Temp-to-Hire

A well established and growing company with a team that genuinely cares about its people is hiring an Accounting Specialist to join their organization. This is a hands on, highly visible role supporting both the accounting and risk management sides of a multi entity operation, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of their work.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and review bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger and loan accounts across multiple entities


• Review and process AP/AR adjustments, aging reports, and related reconciliations


• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across balance sheet accounts and intercompany activity


• Support recurring financial and operational reporting, including payroll and inventory schedules


• Request, track, and maintain Certificates of Insurance and related insurance schedules

What You Bring:

• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related operational accounting role


• Hands on experience with bank reconciliations, GL accounts, AP/AR, and account analysis


• Strong Excel skills and comfort managing recurring reports and reconciliations
  
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and follow up skills


• Comfortable managing multiple entities, accounts, and divisions at once


• Exposure to insurance, claims, risk management, fleet operations, or safety/compliance is a big plus


• Comfortable working onsite five days a week
