Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP/AR).
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho preferred, or similar).
• Strong GAAP accounting knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform general bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Support daily accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment execution, vendor maintenance, and internal control compliance to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Support sales tax filings and compliance (preferred experience).
• Collaborate with internal teams and report directly to the VP of Operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, tax regulations, 1099 reporting requirements, and audit standards while supporting internal and external audit requests.
• Complete month-end AP/AR accruals and related close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate and complete.
• Identify, recommend, implement, and document process improvements, best practices, and system enhancements to strengthen AP operations and service delivery.

Atlas OT is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join our growing team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP/AR)
