Job summary

CFS in Thornton, CO is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join a fast-growing manufacturing and technology company focused on advanced materials innovation. This role offers cross-functional exposure across AP, AR, procurement, and billing, with a hybrid schedule in Thornton, CO.

You will work with Bill.com, Expensify, and ERP systems, supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and audit activities while contributing to process improvements and internal controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, or related function.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting systems or ERP software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable processing, invoice approvals, vendor payments, and three-way matching.
• Support purchasing activities, vendor onboarding, and procurement administration.
• Administer employee expense reporting, reimbursements, and corporate card reconciliations.
• Process customer billing, maintain accounts receivable records, and assist with collections activities.
• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit support.
• Prepare operational and financial reports while supporting internal controls and process improvements.
