Job summary

Opti Staffing Group in Anchorage, AK seeks an Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, bring records up to date during a QuickBooks to Sage transition, and support the finance team. This is a full-time role with a pay rate DOE and a benefits package.

This position offers opportunities to grow with the company as processes mature and financial operations stabilize, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and resolving discrepancies.
• Sage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support
• Bring existing accounting records up to date and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with the transition from QuickBooks to Sage
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and research discrepancies
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities
• Prepare reports and provide accounting support to management
• Help maintain organized accounting processes and documentation
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as the role develops
• Support other financial and administrative needs as needed

Opening: Accounting Specialist – Full Time Location: Anchorage, AK Pay: $25 or DOE Hours: Monday–Friday, Full Time

Opti Staffing Group is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join a local organization. This position will initially focus on bookkeeping, bringing accounting records up to date, and helping transition the company from QuickBooks to Sage. Once the transition is complete and the books are current, this person will take on additional accounting responsibilities and become an important part of the day-to-day financial operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting support
• Bring existing accounting records up to date and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with the transition from QuickBooks to Sage
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and research discrepancies
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule Pay is DOE based on experience and qualifications 90-day introductory/probationary period
