Job summary

The United States Coast Guard Academy invites applications for an open-rank position as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Accounting. The successful candidate will teach core financial and managerial accounting to motivated cadets, mentor student researchers, and develop a scholarly program addressing real world issues.

Teaching is in-person for Fall and Spring; relocation is authorized.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Accounting or related field; ABD candidates may apply with letter from major professor confirming completion before start date.
• Commitment to undergraduate teaching and evidence-based or innovative teaching methodologies.
• Record of scholarship in peer‑reviewed journals and conferences; active research program appropriate to rank.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person classes each semester: core accounting courses plus electives.
• Conduct scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications.
• Advise cadets on senior capstone projects and undergraduate research.
• Perform rank-appropriate service within Department, School, Institution, and Profession.
